Restaurants and Food Service are Vital to New York’s Economy
Restaurants are a driving force in New York’s economy. They provide jobs and build careers for thousands of people, and play a vital role in local communities throughout the State. Food service training is key to keep this economy growing.
According the National Restaurant Association, New York has approximately 45,681 Food and Beverage serving locations, with an annual spend of greater than $43.3B and over 833,400 restaurant/bar jobs. New York is expected to see 6.1% job growth over the next 10 years, just about the industry average.
